Cobra Heat Shields

Posted September 19th, 2009 at 08:47 PM by BVStenner

I finally found some heat shields for my 289 FIA. If you are looking for some for your Cobra check out Steel Shields, Ltd. in Bakersfield, CA. They have a choice of snake skin, short eagle, and snake bite designs. If you are interested, check them out on their website.

Compomotive flat spinner

Posted May 15th, 2009 at 08:43 AM by derbusa

What is up with Compomotive. I have been trying to get one replacement spinner for almost a year and they say that they are "back ordered". Does anyone know where I could buy one (1) flat spinner for my Unique or does anyone know of a compatible product from another manufacturer?

Two years and 4505 miles later;

Posted February 18th, 2009 at 04:21 PM by MonroeCobra

I have been driveing my 427 model,with a 351C, for couple of years now. I find things on each road trip to modify for greater creature comfort or safety. My Dad, Ken Walker opted for #35 Hurracaine, made up in missouri. I'm planning to make a long weekend with the TEXAS cobra club in late March south of Austin. There are about 100 cars pre-regitered at this time. I like my Unique model more each day I drive it.Maybe I can work in a trip back to Gadsten this spring. MONROE COBRA!

Beautiful . . . but loud exhaust note

Posted January 28th, 2009 at 07:51 AM by DCX35

With our Unique Motorcars Cobras many of us notice when we get together with groups of Cobras of all makes, ours have louder and more beautiful sounding exhaust systems. A few of us may have a problem with this (or more likely, a neighbor problem). Patriot Exhaust systems offers a flexible slip in side pipe baffle which could provide an as required and reversible solution to the problem (see www.patriotexhaust.com -- pan down to Muffler Inserts; Standard Insert -- H3842 3 1/2" pipe dia., 7"...
