I sure would love to see that one day. Did you get any photos? You need a big lens for that from what I've heard.
Our camcorder broke a couple of weeks ago, so I used the still camera to shoot video, since it was the boys first launch and we wanted to preserve the memory for them. I don't think it turned out that great, but I haven't watched it yet. I will let you know in a couple of days.
We were about 6-8 miles from the pad... close enough to see it with the naked eye in daylight, but the tower was in the way at this angle and it was dark. We had an unobstructed view, and we could see the tower and VAB clearly.
My dad was stationed in the FL Keys during the sixties, I remember watching the apollo missions take off, very impressive.[thumb]
