Unique chassis numbers
Do Unique cars have unique chassis numbers. I'm thinking of adding the ability to add your car number to your profile and have it displayed under your username. What do you guys think?

Each car has a vin or chassis number stamped on the upper left frame rail where the front suspension bolts to the frame, older cars have a 4 digit number and newer cars have a 7 digit number. Some states add their own vin number and may use our number and add to them. If you buy a used Unique and need info about the car try and have the vin number handy when you call.

Iam all for it, sounds good to me (4279405). I think all the FIA's start with 289?? Is that correct Alan? Noticed that my car has it stamped on the driver's side rear frame close to where the roll bar mounts. It also has it up front.

I think we started using a 7 digit number in 1997 after being contacted by Washington DC DMV, they said that the trailer industry uses a 4 digit vin # and when he ran the numbers of one of our customers car several trailers that had been reported stolen came up with the same number. I am not sure when we started using & numbers but I will check and post it later.
