My question is--Who snuck into my garage and took those pictures?

Glad to see I'm not the only one whose motor looks like that!

Uh oh, watch out for the deposits on the underside of that nice shiny hood.....LOL. Seriously, you should follow the saga of Zimmy's 427 rebuild on:

Obviously, Brent, given the meticulousness of everything else you've done, you must know what you're getting into, and they'll make awesome power, but they are different.

    Good luck!

    Brent,

Who makes the intake, Blue Thunder? Some good looking "goodies". Keep us advised.
Next thing we will see is you pulling the cam out? Just have it done by May. Funny thing I have the bottom side pulled off and you pulled the top off. Steering dampners are due in Unique this week, that will give you something else to do.

Just what I need another project.

I am sure your bottom end project will be less eventful than mine.

Have worked with Webers on MG and Jags, real fun to setup unless you have the correct jets for the (CFM) airflow your engine breathes.
Do you have access to a flobench or do you have a flometer so that you can setup the linkage with the engine running??

After thinking a bit you could be off 20% cylendar to cylendar on that BIG block and never notice it, but if you get them spot-on you will think that you bolted a supercharger on rather than just Webers.

    Jerry,
The pump jets, discharge jet, emul. tubes, main jet,air corrector, venturi, etc. are all changed for my combination. I do have a sync. meter and I have actually played with this before. I drove a Comp. car with a Ford inline 6 cyl and 3 48 IDA Webers a few years ago.I have also built and tuned a mechanical fuel injection set-up for a 572 Ford S/C. We were not concerned with anything other than horsepower so tuning for drivability will be new for me. It seems like the name "Weber" scares people and everyone knows of a horror story asociated with them. I think if you have the proper fuel pump, regulator, and a tight linkage system the system should be trouble free. The linkage system I have will isolate each carb. as well as each bank so I think the sync. will be a piece of cake.

    Brent

    ps. I hope your right

With all the internals setup for your engine (boy would that have been nice when I was working on them) and a solid linkage all you have left is to sync them. Their throttle responce is amazing. Have fun.

PS; guess my age is showing, havent got useto ordering something and not having to do all the setup.
