    Wiring Harness

I've got my dash out and was looking at the mess of wires and thought about cutting the excess out. Have any of you guys done this? It looks to me that I can split the harness - cut and splice to make more room.

    Randy,
I built and drove the car then took it part. When I put it back together I removed alot of excess wire in some areas and added wire in others. I had to lengthen some wires when I routed all of the engine wires under the motor on the passenger side. I have very little excess wire under the dash.

    Randy,

I did not have alot of excess wire behind the dash. I did use alot of small wire ties to bundle wires together and clean up. There are some wires in the harness that are not needed depending on the application, those were removed. Most of my wiring harness changes came in other areas especially in the front where I unbundled the harness and then spliced in back to fit my needs. The engine harness was changed completely since I ran my engine harness under the engine.
