That's it, 4K miles on mine with no issues, no slow starts, or worse. The orig. failed after 2K. If the engine's out, do it then. If the engine's already in, you can wait until the stock starter fails....it will.

    Hey Steve,

How about an update on the new motor. The pics look great and this thing should be a monster in the car. The heads should be a real improvement along with some new found compression.

It is still hard to believe Bill stood behind his motor years later. Hats off to Bill.

Not much to update, I delivered the rebuilt motor to the shop installing it 15 days ago. It is still sitting exactly where I left it. This is frustrating, the weather here is perfect to enjoy the car. Rick and Clay, I did order the powermaster mini starter.

Steve, that really sucks. I will try and shame Brian if you want me to. I can call him Monday. I really thought he would have gotten moving by now.

John, Thanks, but I think he is applying enough shame to the way he feels. More will speed the job but quality is more important.

And yes, the plumbing on the remote fill tank is wrong when taking this picture. The guys in the shop were scratching their heads on that one.

Thanks Brent! We are fortunate to have warm days left in this part of the country. Warm days and cool nights in a hot car, that does sound like fun. Thinking back, I've had this car since February and it has NEVER been right, I am looking forward to finding out just how much fun they can be.

Break those new rings right. The first 300 miles are the most important.
