    Tow Vehicle

Some of you know about my "accident" on the way to the Unique Homecoming last year.
So I just took the plunge[:O]:
    On order,
2005 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab, 4X4, SWB, with a Cummins HO diesel, 6 speed manual transmission, 3:73 Anti-Slip Differental.
    Of course it's Flame Red
So the Dodge Durango has been put to rest as the heavy tow vehicle.
I am ready for Homecoming now.
Gave the Ford F250 serious consideration, both are great trucks I am sure. The Chevrolet with the Dura-Max was never considered.
The Dodge had more features I really liked.
Besides Cheryl liked the Dodge better, that helps.
So now we can debate the tow vehicle of choice[^].

    <img src=images/icon_speech_yes.gif border=0 width=23 height=15 alt=Insert Speech Icon: Yes!> That will do the trick. [^]

Time for a Flame Red 48' Goosneck trailer with living quarters. The Cobra will only take up 13' that will leave you 35' for your trophy case.

Double <img src=images/icon_speech_yeah.gif border=0 width=29 height=15 alt=Insert Speech Icon: Yeah!> Congratulations and good choice. That should work just fine.

Not to steal your thunder, but Poorboy's is my all-time favorite (from a topic sometime back) http://www.uniquecobra.com/topic.asp...earchTerms=tow

    Steve,

The Mack is out of my reach......

    Clay,

Why not, mine does have a 427 Chevrolet engine.....I have been told that many times by onlookers.
Then as you know OL Shelby had many ties with the Dodge Folks, Viper, ect[^]. I will have to agree, a Bowtie NO[B)]. I would not even park my Cobra in a Garage with a Bowtie, would you?

    Brent,

I think someone else needs a bigger trophy case!!

Well, I have a 2003 Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax. I don't have a trailer so the Cobra never feels the humiliation of following a Chevy.

I like both the dodge and the ford trucks. They are all solid these days. I like the Allison transmission in the GM vehicle. 5 speed and very grunty.

Friends have the Dodge cummins and they pull very hard.

    Sundown,
The Chevy Allison and the New Ford (copy of the Allison) 5 speed automatics are far superior to the Dodge 4 speed automatic.

When I went over Clay's To see His Cobra the only thing I noticed was the Cobra!! I see so many vetts on the road with chicks driving them that they don't even Interest me. Besides Chevy needs to put some rumble back in the Vette!!!

My Daily driver is A Ford E250 work van( 5.4 Triton 4 speed auto 3.73.posi) so driving the Cobra will be like driving a luxury car

    Tony,

A little tip for you........it's probably not a good idea to announce on a Cobra-related forum that "chicks driving Vettes" do not interest you..........

And where the heck have you been seeing so many C6's on the road[:O]?

I am not nor have ever been a Chevrolet fan. Vettes are common place compared to a Cobra (most cars other than a Cobra are) however nobody can argue with the fact that for the money there is not another american made car that will perform with it.

OOOHHH if Ford would only make a car like that for that price. The GT 40 is nice but the 250,000.00 is a bit much for me.

If I had to buy a new performance car for 50K right now it would be a Vette.[xx(]

Brent, my sentiments exactly. If Ford built a comparable car (class, performance, and price), it would be no contest for me. As it is, they're not even in the game.

After 3 months and 5K miles (with zero defects) in the C6, I am truly astounded by the level of world class performance, how easy it is to drive fast, and amazing comfort. I never liked Vettes either, but this one is also easy on the eye. They really got this one right.
