Hans Stuck probably knows Nurburgring better than anyone..... Definitely the fasting thing on the track that day, by the way he blew the doors off every car he passed!

I'd love to know what his speed was . It would be cool if they had a speedo in the corner.I like how he had time to scratch his nose.

They should run today's F1 races on the old track like they used to. Isn't it just amazing that all of that footage was only one lap around that place? A 24hr race is still ran on the full circuit with the FIA prototypes, imagine running that track at night

How many laps around that track do you suppose he has taken, to know it as well as he does? Over hills, blind approaches, UPshifting coming into some corners....that man has that circuit wired in.
This is neat [:P].

Yeah! 13 mile Track Is a lot to remember too. My Uncle is from England and is into racing. He said that anybody can run on that track. So if your in Germany with a BMW or Porsche Rental.....you know where this is going. Have fun and take plenty of video. See how you compare to Hans.

I counted about a dozen places where I would've totally panicked or sh*t myself (or both). They need both a speedometer AND tachometer inset. I wonder if some of those drivers practice at home by running the track on PlayStation or similar? It would be a great way to keep your memory fresh.

The chief instructor at the Panoz GT School at Road Atlanta told a story about Stuck in the rain at LeMans: driving a prototype (he didn't mention the make), he would get into top gear on the Mulsanne straight and calmly take a rag that he's attached to a stick and wipe the condensation off the inside of the windshield...at 230 mph!

WOW!!!!!Amazing. You need 3 sets of eyes to watch that video .. one to watch the track another to watch his hands as he changes gears and another to watch him handling the steering wheel .. an incredible display of shifting. Phwew!!!!!
Thanks!

Clay,
289 FIA, Viking Blue, red team stripe, black powder coated front braced roll bar, 302 with edelbrock RPM performer intake manifold, roller tappets, holley 600 cfm carb., Ford T-5, MSD ignition. HP? 300-325 I would guess. Should be in my garage on Monday!! can't wait. Had planned on taking vacation to go to Carlisle to check out the various manufacturers (had quotes from ERA, Unique, Superformance, Shelby American, & Johnexx from a few years back). Came across this one for sale used with about 2000 miles .. and it just "fit".
