Well it has been a couple of weeks since we brought my 289 to Louisville and Rick has been steadily preparing the engine bay for the engine install. We have a long list of things to do before we can drive the car but we are making progress.

The photos below will show some of the things we have been doing such as; Spall Fan installation, Insulation of brake lines, and the addition of an aluminum plate over the driver's footbox to give strength to the pedal mounts as well as cover an imperfection on the footbox fiberglass. Things to come are a new Fram Fuel Filter, Harrison tank installation, heat shields for the undercar exhaust.

Maurice has ordered for me the wire wheels for my car and we will hopefully pick them up at Pigeon Forge in three weeks. We are also hoping to pick up the exhaust system that is being ceramic coated.

The body work on the car is awesome although there are a few imperfections that we hope to take care of in the next couple of weeks.

The engine bay is now ready for the engine to go in. Rick says that probably this coming Tuesday or Wednesday we will put the engine in.

We will post photos then.
