Aluminum Radiator unfixable?
Griffin aluminum radiator (from Unique 289FIA) developed a leak. Removed it and took it to my favorite radiator shop. Guy there said he couldn't fix it because it started leaking at the header in the area where the core is epoxied to the header. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine developed a leak in the first couple of years. I used some barsleaks and it quit. Have not had a problem since, but may be on borrowed time.

Tried that - worked for a few months, but then started leaking again. Any idea what a new one costs? Mr. Weaver, do you have any in stock?

MGreene...Just bought one from Alan, seems to me that it was about $425 plus shipping.

Not sure about how they would deal with the epoxy, if the leak is accessible, etc. but you might try contacting local welding shops. We have some guys around here that can do wonders on aluminum with TIG. One of their demos at their open house is cutting a Coke can in half, then TIG'ing back together.
