You have to get a different adapter.
It is a 3/8" pipe thread tap in the manifold and the one that came with the gauge is 1/2".
your local speedshop should have one or even a parts store that sells aftermarket gauges.

The port near the thermostat housing is for the heater hose connections. The temp sensor goes on the front drivers side of the manifold.

there are no locations on the drivers side that i can see. any photos of a southern automotive fe with edelbrock and single holley?

Sorry. I had a brain fart and was thinking small block. On the Edebrock FE intake, the port I'm thinking of is at the front center just behind the distributor.
