This looks like an absolute blast, although a little stupid.

Why do that when you can do it legally in a Cobra?
    Sounds better too.

    Tony,
A Cobra will come in second to the thrills you can get on a shifter kart. Nothing corners like one and they are so fast and responsive that it is unreal, you throw one into a corner and many times you can't belive they stick. It looks like the one in the video is an 80cc because I don't see front breaks. But even an 80 will run right around 100mph and a 125 shifter will run over 120mph.

    Karts at Barbers

The World Karting Association raced at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, AL last weekend. This is a sanctioned Formula 1 race track, 2.3 miles long. The twin engine shifter karts run close to 150 mph on the straight aways and laps times were only 1 second slower than the purpose built Grand Am race cars. 150 mph with your keester only 1 inch of the asphalt has got to be a thrill!
