Unique Hot at Run & Gun

Lee Dahmer the Unique dealer at Sterling Replicars in VA was the top finisher in his class - Big Block Prepared - at the Run & Gun last week. Not only was he the fastest but he was the fastest Ford powered car in his class and the ONLY Unique entered. Nest year we hope to see more Unique cars participating because they are definitely designed to win.
    Congratulations Lee!!!
    Bill and Susan
p.s. OK he did have our Super FE stroked 390.

Lee came by the shop today to pick up a Deluxe Pallet Kit, he said the Run and Gun was alot of fun and very competitive, the new engine SA built him was really fast. He plans on going to Sebring in Dec to represent Unique and Southern Automotive, I might have to bring old red out of retirement and see what she, I , have left.

Lets just say I should have won the upside down award at Charlotte back in 94, I don't think anyone had a faster car than old red but everyone else managed to keep all 4 tires on the ground. Thank God our roll bars are functional.

    Talking Old Red

    Yes Alan...I remember it well.
You got great coverage and pics. in Kit Car Illustrated.
It was that car at the show in Indianappolis that helped
me make my final decision to purchase a Unique.
    Cheers....Mike

That's the one. I allways thought our cars were pretty light but when they're sitting on your head they feel heavy.

So.....How did you get out of the car with it sitting on your head? I couldn't imagine much crawl space. Did they turn it back over with you still strapped in?

His pants were full of lubricant and he slid out.

Terry Pendelton and a couple of track workers got me out of the car but the car was damaged even more when the wrecker turned it over. I remember on the ride to te hospital a lady in the ambulance asking me if I had a hospital preference, I told her no but that they might want to take me to a dry cleaner first.
