Hi Brent. All of a sudden, she developed a bad vibration that seems to be coming from the engine. I replaced the harmonic damper first. Then a local shop tightened all the hardware bumper to bumper, removed and checked the motor mounts etc. I'm guessing it's something in the bellhousing. Southern has it and will be tearing into it soon. It's very sad seeing an empty spot in my garage.

    Tony,

Hopefully it is just an easy clutch disc or pressure plate issue. Hope for the best. This stuff always happens when the weather gets nice.

    Tony,

If you are tossing the Mighty Demon, what size it and how bad do you hate it?

Justin, It's a 750 with mechanical secondaries. I was considering sending up to a specialist to be fine-tuned. After talking to the guy (ex-BG employee), I think it woud be cheaper just to have an HP Holley installed. He said he was working almost exclusively on Holleys as they tend to make better HP than a comparable Demon. My Demon has always run a bit rich and according to the Dyno, the jets are OK.

    Tagcave...

Tony, it's been a while since I've talked to Rodney (aka TAGCAVE), but he was having Demon troubles as well. I think he was on his second or third Demon by fall of last year without success.

    Demon

Tony, My Mighty Demon ran reallllllly rich out of the box, jetted it down still ran rich, sent it back to BG came back with same jets as when it was new, installed it, runs much better but still rich. I am still not pleased with the perfomance, I am thinking of making the switch to a Holley myself, keep me posted on the results.

    Question Question...

I ran into an acquaintance today (owns another brand of car), who was thinking about making the trip to Gadsden for Homecoming. He knows Gary Darcy here in town as well. I was telling him how great it was last year and all, and he asked if it was OK to show up with brand X at the Homecoming. I said, " ." I told him I did not think it would be too big a deal, but that I would post the question here for comments.

He mentioned he was considering another car project. What do you think it might end up being if he shows up in Gadsden !

I will let Alan answer that one, it has come up before and I think the answer is NO.

Sorry, only Unique Cobras, we spend too much time putting this together to promote other manufacturers product.

I am going to miss all the fun this year.
Next year I will be there even if it kills me.
I just canceled my reservations for 4 at the Hampton inn if anyone want to jump in there.

    Talking Countdown to Homecoming

Well one month to Homecoming, time is moving fast.

Better get tires aired up, oil changed, tune up work done, and of course the Big Clean up and Detail work.

The last thing to do is wax the frame!!

Life is all about choices so no excuses just be there!!

    Best of the Best

I thought Homecoming was for the BEST of the BEST so that indicates only UNIQUE COBRAs should be there.

    Brand X

I would say the brand X Cobra owner is a professional bowler or owns a bowling alley.............................He obviously has 16 lb balls.

No Brent, he's not a bowler - wise guy.

I think that he was just thinking more like it was a Cobra meet, where anyone could attend. He seems like a decent guy, with a pretty nice car - albeit not my choice of car, but nice for brand x.

And by-the-by, there was another brand of car there last year, remember ?

We've had several people over the years hear about our event and call about bringing another brand, when they find out is a Unique only show most have no problem with it but some really show their a$$. We do allow Tony Lewis to drive his SP on Sat cruise but he sends more potential customers to us than you would believe, he bought his car before knowing about us. Several years ago someone with a West Coast Cobra showed up and parked his car out front of the shop, we didn't notice his car untill he pulled out to leave so he got away with it, we pay more attention to whos car is here now. We do welcome anyone who wants to attend just don't bring another brand Cobra.

    Had

one pull in with us at pigeon forge last year, think it was a new carroll special with 1964 technology, we looked him over--he looked us over--we wished him good luck--he us, and away he went.We sneak in on local corvette fellows here at local, all neighbors, but you can tell it ticks them when folks walk quickly by all those vettes to look at the cobra,.Hotdern, have you ever took refreshments from the adjoining conference ? Sneak out quietly.Wish we could just get out and drive it some.Will-alabama
