Ya Alan, when I told the brand x guy he said, "Ya, that makes sense, since it is sponsored by Unique." So he was not miffed or anything.

Like I said before, I think he was just thinking "Cobra brotherhood" kinda thoughts... that's all.

    Smile Car show

I was driving my Unique this past week end and happened across a Mopar only show . I pulled in only to look at the cars in the show and the Cobra ended up stealing the show . I was not invited to leave and some one did tell me , I was welcome anytime but unless I had a Mopar to show please drive the family sedan next time I came to their show .

I knew these cars drew attention but had no idea how many new people I would meet by just getting out and driving around .

Things are coming together for Homecoming, shirts ordered, catering set up, starting to clean up a little and we should have the new sat cruise route figured out this weekend. If there is anyone planning on coming that hasen't sent their entry in please do it now while we still have time to adjust the numbers. Looking foward to a great time this year.

I spoke to soon. I earlier said that 2008 would be my year, but my wife and I will be at Homecoming this year. Looking forward to meeting you all there. No car this trip however so we'll be looking to hitch a ride on saturday.

I'm happy to see that there will be some west coast representation at this years homecoming, albeit it won't be me

Yall take good care of Rod and his wife, and make sure they eat plenty of that fine southern fried cooking (Rod - make sure someone takes you to Fibber's for lunch).

I am just finishing a new car, the silver FIA in the show room and TPs black car. That actually makes 5.

    Friday arrival...

Looks like Sandy and I will either be driving up late in the evening Thursday, or bright and early Friday morning. Probably be Friday morning since 1) We don't want to kill any more bugs with the windshield than necessary, and 2) Early morning is just about my favorite time to ride in an open top vehicle - be it a Cobra, Jeep, Mustang, ATV, boat, or whatever.

Wound up with my being the one to have a conflict on Thursday night.

Anyhow, we'll plan on seeing everyone then!

    Clean Up Day

Well just finished the pre homecoming cleaning and test drive, No major problems other than a leaking valve cover gasket, probably due to me taking them off to clean before every show.

Alan, Has the new cruise route been finalized?

Yes, we will leave Gadsden headed towards Ashville then onto Pell City and Talladega Speedway, we will leave there going to Heflin taking Hwy 9 to Cedar Bluff and Fibbers for lunch. For those who want to keep riding after lunch we will go through Little River Canyon on the way back to Gadsden, I think everyone will be ready for a margarita by then.

Oh please! You just gave us the carb today. Now be a big boy and ride with Lyle on Friday morning. You will have lots of fun and we will miss you if you don't come.
