Wheel Size and Backspace
Hi folks-
Planning on going narrow-width rear end to fit Torq Thrust D's on a 5 lug (non-pindrive) setup.
Does someone have the rim width and backspacing measurements for a 15" Torq Thrust D wheel for a 289 car?
I've got my eye on these:
Rear:

(Wheel, Torq-Thrust D, Aluminum, Gray, 15 in. x 10 in., 5 x 4.75 in. Bolt Circle, 3.75 in. Backspace)
Front:

(Wheel, Torq-Thrust D, Aluminum, Gray, 15 in. x 8.5 in., 5 x 4.75 in. Bolt Circle, 3.75 in. Backspace)
or

(American Racing Torq-Thrust D Wheels
Wheel, Torq-Thrust D, Aluminum, Gray, 15 in. x 7 in., 5 x 4.75 in. Bolt Circle, 3.75 in. Backspace)
Thanks in advance!
Chris

Thanks for the help Alan....
Folks-
What are you running for tire size on your FIA cars? Is anyone running a 295-50-15 on 10" rim in the rear? What are you running on the front?
thanks,
Chris

I don't know of anyone running those size wheels and tires on the rear of a FIA, that is what we use on a 427 car with much wider wheel wells.

Thanks Alan, that's a big help...knowing that the wells on the 427 are bigger helps as I look through other people's setups.
Are there any folks out there comfortably running 275 60-15's on 8.5" rims on an FIA rear or am I looking for smaller? I'm not trying to jam the biggest that will fit, I'm looking for what will fit with a pretty easy margin.
Thanks!
Chris
