    Percentages

It all gets down to percentages. If you are Joe average - ya know a 50th percentile dead common middle of the IQ world individual you'll find every 2nd person you meet to be somewhat dumber than you. The further up the IQ food chain you go - the more truly stupid people you'll meet on a daily basis. If you have a degree of mental agility your world wallows in the unintelligent. The individuals in the video must see their world as being full of really brilliant people.

Sometimes you don't! e.g. Jews in Germany in WWII

Would it not be great to put term limits on our congress reps and senators -- good luck They take care of themselves ever see a poor one? One term and full salary for life! Exempt from many of the laws we have to abide and these folks are OUR public servants.

We don't deserve this crap, but how do you change it, sure you can vote them out and put another in based upon their promises which they don't fulfill or claim they don't get support from thier congressonal buddies. I think things are heating up in this country people are fed up with outrageous behavior in the financial sector from oil speculators driving up oil prices and moving our wealth to those who hate us to the criminals in congress that propped up Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae by preventing congessional oversight and forcing banks to make subprime loans to foster and promote their social/political agenda.

Sorry I am on a tear like the movie Network "I'm as mad as hell and I won't take this any more"

    I am pissed!!!

    Right on, Ralph

All about power and greed.......all the way to the top.

Most people bitch about the government but don't take the time to get educated. What I call "Fast Food Politics" turn on the local news and get a 15 minute fill in by the good ole National or Local Media, then your an expert and know all you need to know.

The American people have some serious issues out there.......

    tonight

Bob Barr wasn't allowed to be in on the debate between the *** and
socialist *** we have running for president. You can however go to his webpage tonight and watch the debate. During this through modern technology he will answer the same questions these two asses will answer.

Ralph I understand your frustration but we can change things it just needs to start at the lowest level as in local and state elections. It irratates the hell out of me to have to look at the two that are supposed to be the best the country has to offer.

Dammit now it's time for a Ezra and coke.

    Wink George Carlin...

My Carlin page-a-day calendar had an interesting observation last week.

Let's dispense with this president business and install an elected monarchy here in the States. That's right, a king or queen. Then, when the monarch stops doing a good job, execute him or her medieval-style and elect a new king or queen.

That ought to weed out a few candidates and give them some incentive to do a good job.

(I'm a Bob Barr supporter as well, BTW.)

Our democracy was founded on the principle of checks and balances. Three branches of government legislative, judicial, and executive. The problem we seem to be having is once the legislative and the executive branches are of the same liberal or conservative stance then the judicial branch (supreme court nominees and federal judge appointees) then mirrors the stance of the other two branches so there are no checks and balances in place.

It goes back to "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" Our Congress has moved into the latter half of the oft quoted phrase and soon it appears so will the other two branches of our government.

    Some reforms that would help:
Term limits on our legislative branch (like the executive branch two terms), eliminate the electoral college popular vote, make selling of drugs a capital crime, eliminate the IRS go with the fair tax, national ID with different right for citizens as to government assistance and legal representation, install reforms in the judical branch to prevent legislating from the bench. This would be a start....
