Ouch
I was going to town to get an inspection sticker the other day. After I put the horn on I was standing outside the car when I tried it and it worked fine. When I get to Marks for the sticker I was in the car and when I pushed the stalk in it shocked the hell out of me. Of course the wife almost fell out of the car laughing. I have the green wire hooked up to the horn with another ground wire from the horn to the frame. If I unhook this ground wire of course it won't work.
It reminded me of the old British motorcycles that had a positive ground system. They would shock you if it was running and it was raining and you touched a metal part.

Wives....
You'd think we were here just for their entertainment.
Well....I suppose we are.....at least, that's how it winds up.
How in the world did you get zapped with 12 volts in the system? Sitting in the (insulating) seat?
I AM impressed...when you figure it out, please let me know so's I can give my son a small token of one-upsmanship. Lord knows I owe him a few.
Yeehah

Same thing happened to me for the first time ever, loose ground.
