Just a note to all regarding Southern Automotive in McDonough GA. Bill Parham and his staff exceeded my expectations when a faulty lifter (hydraulic lifter with a pin hole in it) wreaked havoc on my 406 engine, resulting in a severely bent pushrod and wiped out cam lobe. This was just a small part of a string of problems (some caused be me), that the team at Southern took care of, free of charge and well beyond the engine warranty. SA, no doubt sees the big picture in customer service.

I was a bit unsure of purchasing an engine from someone so far away, but my 406 has been trouble free since it was first fired up in late 2003. SA is the best in my book. It runs strong, sounds great, I just wish I had gone the 427 route when I was putting everything together..... oh well, live and learn.

Susan and Bill are first rate! They helped solve a problem I also created (my lack of experience) a couple of summers ago. Lyle from their shop actually drove to my house in Naperville, Illinois to help me with it. If I ever need more help or another motor for that matter, there's only one place I'm going... to SA. They know what customer serivce is all about and they're great people too!
