John Force's All Ford Car Show

We are heading up to Force's Racing Operations in Brownsburg, In...just outside Indianaopolis on Thursday, Sept. 3rd. Should be a fun event. Really am looking forward to touring the shop, this is the main operations for all 4 Funny Car Teams. Going to trailer the car up and put it in the show.

    Details:

BROWNSBURG, IN (August 26, 2009) --- John Force Racing’s Brownsburg, Indiana based shop and museum will be the site of the Bill Estes Brownsburg Ford All Ford Car Show, Thursday, September 3rd. The event will be hosted by the Mustang Club of Indianapolis and will feature incredible vehicles on display and fun for the whole family. The scheduled time for the event is 3pm – 7pm. and it is free to the public. We are asking everyone to bring a can of food as a donation for the Hendricks County Food Bank. For every can you bring, you will receive a ticket for a chance to win a Sanyo 52” big screen TV. Bring 5 cans, get 5 tickets, bring 20 can get 20 tickets. And the drawing for the TV will be drawn that night!

Fans who attend will get the chance to meet NHRA superstar funny car drivers’ 14-time champion John Force, Ashley Force Hood, Robert Hight and Mike Neff. Fans will also be able to tour the massive race shop and brand new museum. There will be a variety of Ford and Mercury vehicles on display from across the spectrum of Blue Oval history. All sorts of Ford displays will keep the young and old entertained and educated on an amazing variety of Ford vehicles.

One Ford in particular will be of note. “Edith,” a 1930 Ford Model A 6-Wheel Deluxe Roadster, owned by Kim and Vera Willis of Danville, Illinois will make an appearance. The Willis’ will be driving “Edith” to the Bill Estes All Ford Car Show themselves. This Model A still has the flat head 4-cylinder, 3 speed transmission, original rear-end and 6-volt system. It has no modern conveniences (i.e turn signals consist of left arm out the window) and is in great condition.

“This will be a great event. When you combine the number of great Fords that will be here, vendor booths and BBQ food from the PitStop BBQ Co., stage entertainment by “Dave & Rae”, plus the grand opening of our new museum; this will be a great evening of fun for the whole family. It will be a tremendous way to kick off the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. All four of our funny car drivers will be here signing autographs plus you never know if there will be a surprise guest or two,” said Craig Hoelzel event manager. Besides collecting food for the Hendricks County Food Bank, the event will also be benefiting Sheltering Wings, which provides emergency housing for women and children suffering from any form of domestic abuse

John Force Racing has recently renovated the race shop by adding a museum featuring John Force Racing funny cars, racing memorabilia and NHRA Wally’s the team has won over its illustrious history. The Eric Medlen Museum has also been relocated and a brand new John Force RaceStation retail store, (selling motorsport souvenirs and collectibles) has been added to the complex making the Brownsburg shop a “must see” location for any John Force Racing fan.

    Report back later.
