    Just bad California humor. She cut most of the carpeting. I was her go for. The bigest challenge was the bulkhead. She shaped the bottom then glued it halfway up so it would remain in position. It turned out great. I would not have been nearly as picky as she was. Yesterday I got my temp licence and took her for a ride..She loved it. That will make life a bunch easier.

    I see... I thought the carpet was all pre-cut and bound... I guess I never really paid attention to it. Ooops!

    Tell her, "nice job!"

    So , when does your wife get to drive the car ?

    I put the first 100 miles on our car and my wife put the second 100 miles on it and knows she can drive it anytime . She never questions anything I want to do to upgrade and some of the upgrades have been her suggestions .

    I find owning the car is much more fun when it is our car .

    I just wish "I" could make my wife scream as loud as she does when I mash my foot on the throttle She loves the acceleration

    I learned the true defination of pucker power trying to get use to the acceleration from the passanger's side when it was my wife's time to drive . Even after 4 years when she drives and goes through the gears she will ask "How was that ? Lets do it again. "

    your air cleaner

    Cheesehead... Love the work you've done. On your engine picture, I see you're using the K&N xtreme aircleaner. Doesn't look like you droped it any?? what is the height of your aircleaner? I want to get the 14" dia. with a 1.125" drop to get the maximum aircleaner surface area. Also, what eng and intake do you have as that will help be compare? I'm trying to determine the max height of the air filter with the 1.125" drop. Thanks Mark

    Mark;
    I'm using what you want over a Vic Jr. intake. I had to add a 1/2" spacer to get the cleaner assy. off of the distributor (it was just too close) and the top of my filter rubs the hood (2 3/4" filter) but I have a big scoop with a big cut-out and it works perfect. When you get closer to engine install PM me and we'll talk.
