    Tech questions

Alan or anyone…. A few questions: (Alan.. my email to Unique are being returned.... so I'm asking here)

    1. Can I get a Jag IRS 3.73 with posi traction rear-end vs. 3.54? I assume when you have them rebuilt, the can put in 3.73 as easy as 3.54?

    2. On a 351W block with 205cc AFR heads and Super Victor intake, QuickFuel quad carb…. Can I assume that will fit under the hood? My block will be a DART Iron Eagle 4.125x4 bore for a 427 ci strocker.

    3. For my headers, I’d like 2” pipe for max exhaust flow. Any issues? (I realize some grinding/blending/compression may have to happen on either end.)

    carb height

    Mark,

With the 351W block and AFR 205's, you'll likely be running out of hood clearance. Dad's 427 car is running the same combo, but with an Edelbrock Air Gap. I'm fairly certain we had to use a pretty serious drop base on the air cleaner to get it under the hood. (I'm sure it's not good for airflow into the carb.)

may have to consider a mod to raise the hood air scoop? Hope not.

email me at unique@uniquemotorcars.com no problem with the Jag rear but clearance will be a problem with your engine set up, also 2" headers will not work, not enough room to get the header bolts in, we have cars with small blocks pushing 700 hp with 1 3/4" headers.
