    2012 Ohio Raffle Car

We are building this years raffle car for the Ohio Cobra Club, I will post pics as we make progress. We are replicating Allen Grants yelow and black 289 racer, the paint scheme was designed by George Lucas of the Star War fame. The front fenders, door opening and nose area were altered so this will be a one off Cobra. Enjoy.

    Alan,
Looks great, just as we would all expect. What color "yellow" is the car? I look forward to more pics!

We have a local engine shop called Patriot Heads building a 347 stroked 302 which will dyno around 450 hp with stack fuel injection. The company manufactures both aluminum and cast iron heads sold by Summit and Jegs and they also build performance crate engines soldby the same companies. The car was origially painted a yellow tint color in 1964 or 65, Allent Grant was able to locate the paint code for us.

Wow, wow! What a Unique One!

Folks, this is truly one of a kind. Absolutely a rare one indeed. I think I have seen and studied just about all manufacturers of Cobras but I have to admit, no one out there has done what you guys are replicating here.

This car should go to someone who truly appreciates the incredible efforts of the Unique company and Weaver family and the legacy created here. Hat off to you guys, I am so proud to be associated with you guys, and all for a great cause and at a great expense of time and money.

I think the Unique community should make a great effort to attend the London Cobra Show next year to see this one off masterpiece being raffled off. I am buying a few tickets as soon as they go for sale.

    Truly, truly beautiful.

    Exclamation Old race footage...

Link to a race where it looks like Allen Grant spins while jockeying with a couple of other 289 cars at 1:10 into the video...
