4 taillights to 2 taillights conversion

I like the rectangle taillights better than the 4 roynd taillights. Now they make flat panel LEDs that look great and are vey bright.
You will need to get a trailer 4 flat converter to make the 2 taillights work. 18 bucks at AutoZone. Tailights were 40 a piece on Amazon. No cutting was required and i used aluminum flat metal to clamp the light in place.
I opened the wiring harness near the battery to install the fkat 4 converter. I will post more picks of the details if anyone is interested.

Seems nice and bright! Are these the brake lights we are seeing, or regular lights on the top and brakes on the bottom pic?

So those are actual 289 tail lights? Did they come with the LED elements or did you buy those separately? Might as well show the process for us to see, Tony, in case someone wants to follow in your footsteps...

    Looks good!

    Thanks.
Not really just 289 tail lights. Here is a picture of Shelby's 1966 Super Snake. They are not standard on the Unique 427s if that is what you mean.

So i have some of these aluminum pieces that are 1.5 inches wide by 1/8" thick. I pt 4 of them together and cut them to 2.25" long. Drilled 2 of them in rhe center with an 11/64" bit for the bottom bolt.
Drilled the center of the top ones with a 3/8" bit for the wires then above that with the 11/64" bit for the bolt.
This allowed clearance for the top curve of the fender.

Sorry i didn't stop to take pics of the wiring them up.
The wiring colors are the same as a trailer except for the brake lights which is white.
    Brown is running lights
    Green is right turn
    Yellow is left turn.
My car was purchased as a kit from Unique in 2005 so my wiring and colors might be different from yours.
I still checked everything with a test light.
I like using the aviation solder and seal wire connectors.
You can buy them on Amazon.
The 4 flat converter I purchased at AutoZone
