RACE GAS ....AGAIN :- Sorry
Thought this may be of interest to those who use 'Race Gas'
Being a displaced Limey , I still read magazines like 'Classic and
Sport Car' from the UK.
In the UK, the maximum legal Octane for street use is 105 Octane.
It is Oxygenated at 2.7% and is great for track use also.
The COST...You guys will love this one..( the juice is sold by SUNOCO
UK.)...Hold on to your ass...at todays exchange rate of UK pounds to
US dollars it's $19.11 US dollars per US gallon.
SO;- for those of you out there with 'PURPLE' drums squirrled away
in your garages, thank your Stars and Stripes you live in the USA.
AND...for the guy who gets 9 miles per gallon...thats $2.12 per mile.
( ****..I could lease a Rolls Royce for that.)

Good point Mike.
I'm only confused about one thing. Why would you want to lease a Rolls Royce? The 0-60 times are atrocious, and they don't corner worth a damn!

Mike, now you've given me something to think about and prepare for. Our pumps can't go any higher than 9.999/gallon. I hope that upgrade is down the road a piece!

[:O] Yikes [:O] That is $1,051.50 for a drum [xx(]
Perhaps I should consider the export business as a second career
Gasman - let's hope you don't have to go monkeying with the $9.999/gal issue in our lifetime!

Phil, A year ago, I would have thought it would be impossible for gasoline to reach that level. Today, I would say is was certainly possible.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh Say it isn't so Gasman. I remember the gas wars of the 60's ($0.21.9/gal for 110 supreme), and the pump went to 0.00 after $9.99. We would drive all night on redemptions of soda pop bottles.
What is the world coming too?
