to work around the front noise of the car. I have to take the oil-cooler fittings of. DO i drain the oil before doing so? If the car is not running will i have whats left of oil coming from remote oil filter line.If so , i wont have to drain the oil.

With no oil pressure in the system, you'll still be bothered by gravity. Fab up a "plug" to quickly connect the line to after you disconnect it from the cooler. You'll loose some oil in the process, but having the plug ready, you can reduce the oil loss to just a small puddle. No need to empty the whole system..... and just top off the oil level after your done with what ever your doing around the cooler.
