I don't know, Tony... looks like just us around here, lately. This place used to be hoppin'! I wonder what happened. Is there another site? Club Cobra is dead in comparison to what it was, as well. For one, this site does not operate like it used to... really hard to see new thread replies, as it does not bold them. The landing page is gone. A couple of times I asked Patrick if he could fix it up. He said he would look into it. Been a while, no luck. Perhaps we are a dying breed...

Yep i have to look at the dates to see what is new. I also had to set up my notification to instant email. It is working.
I think mass social media cut into these forums. These groups are nice as it is a smaller community. There are probably other factors contributing to the shift. More local car clubs as the Cobra owners are far and few between. It can be lonely. I see that the Unique owners place on CC is gone.
I started this thread hope to have people just post something while they pop in.

Hey Tony & Paul ..... I'm still around!
Retired and moved to Arizona last year as Covid ramped up! What a strange time it's been! Could not list my house for
sale in NY as real estate was not considered an essential business during Covid. Drove out once in June with 26' moving
truck filled with stuff I could not ship. Finding diesel fuel was fine at truck stops. Lodging not so good as most hotel were
closed!! Drove until you found something open and if found somethin open they were empty and hardly no staff.
Had the Cobra, Jeep and motorcycles shipped by Intercity Transport.
Flew back to NY (empty planes) and sold the house as real estate began to open up. Finally was able to ship the rest of
the household stuff and drove out for the final time in September.

Wow Jeff! What an ordeal.
Where in Arizona did you move to?

Moved To Wickenburg, a small (about 8,000 people) "western themed" town about an hour northwest of Phoenix.
I've been told this is the "Team Roping Capital of the World"! We don't have horses; in late fall to spring,
the ropers come to town from all over and it gets busy.
Lots of nice roads to cruise and not a lot of traffic. Phoenix and the valley is very busy traffic to say the least.

Still around on this end,

Wow, Jeff. That is hard cheese! Glad you are finally settled, and glad you and Walter are still hangin' around! Maybe we'll get a few more...

Sounds like an interesting place and you're not too far from a city center.
I like being 45 miles from a couple of cities where we are now. We will want to be about 60 miles out where we move to when we retire.

I still check in every once in awhile, but nothing like the old days. Social media has made a huge impact on forums, but there's still so much great info in the archives here.

Paul, I wonder if the defualt settings can be changed to instant email response to a thread you post on or set to follow.
I had to go in and change all of mine because I was not getting notified of post being made then a month later it would send one large email with post that have been made.

That sounds like a Patrick question, Tony. I am not sure if he frequents the site much anymore, though. I asked him about restoring the home page and he was going to look into getting it back up and running, but that was quite a while ago now.

It took me a minute to figure it out. Anyway over on CC the manufacturer area for UMC is not there anymore.
So how is your Cobra coming along?

I still check in now-n-then although the car is toast. Good to see "some" activity here.

Concussion (me) and 35 staples (my wife). This happened 2-years ago in October. The car was totaled (new motor and all). We were very, very lucky!
