I was talking to Alan Weaver this afternoon he and told me about this site. :D This is great! I should be getting my car in a few weeks and will probably have many questions.

How big is the gas tank on a Unique 289FIA - It was build by the Weavers... if that's a help.

Dave I'm building a deluxe pallet FIA car with a Southern Automotive 396 stroker, toploader. I'm still undecided on the color - either red or silver. Still looking for wheels and tires. The car is scheduled for delivery in about 3 weeks. :D

Al the gas tanks are 20 gallon aluminum.

Trying to reply here... we'll see if it works. I've been having a problem logging in for some reason.

The gas tank is officially listed as 17 gallons, but I know for a fact that mine will hold 18. The car was sputtering to a stop when I entered the gas station that day, so I wouldn't suggest pushing it.

I need to try and participate a little more often on this site.

BTW, red is a good choice. :D

Alan just told me about the forum also. I'm a new owner also - expecting the car sometime in March. I ordered a 427 car and am building (or having built) a FE390 for the car. I hope to be seeing my toploader from Southern Automotive next week.
