Everyone needs to check their steering joints from time to time, they tend to loosen up and need to be retightened. Those of you who are going to SAAC need to check before and during the event, I have checked customers cars at our track event and have found several very loose.

Have you noticed whether or not loctite makes any difference? Mine are staying tight, but I have only a couple hundred miles on it right now.

I'll be checking them on a regular basis... I've managed to check every nut and connection on the car except the steering... <img src=images/icon_speech_duh.gif border=0 width=23 height=15 alt=Insert Speech Icon: Duh!>
Thanks Alan for the "heads up".

You could use loctite red on the set screw but I wouldn't put it on the spline.
