Well I painted the car today and I love it. Next step is to wet sand with 1000 and buff. Now I can start the fun part :D

Randy,
You may want to sand it with 1000 then 1500 then buff. Silver will show sanding scratches more than most colors. Some even go to 2000. Alan is doing the 1000, 1500 then buffing on the silver Corvette he just painted.

Poorboy thanks for keeping me on my toes, I am going to use 2000 after the 1000 then buff. I have two little runs in the clear coat that I need to knock down, other than that it came out great.
It took me a while, I used 2 gallons of primer and 5 quarts of epoxy sealer and wet sanded with 400 and 600 three times.

It has been a real learning experience but I proved that someone can do it at home in the garage and get good results.

I'll try and post a few pics.

Poorboy thanks for keeping me on my toes, I am going to use 2000 after the 1000 then buff. I have two little runs in the clear coat that I need to knock down, other than that it came out great.

Looking good Randy, I use 1000 then 1500 before buffing, I used 2000 before and found 1500 to be better.
