View Full Version : Speedometer Cable?

:(Just checked with the local Ford parts dept. the cable housing listed by Unique is no longer available. What other housing works?
Also the housing that the cable attaches to the trans. with was not
included with the trans.- 4sp.TL. Hope someone can save me alot of junk yard scrounging if you can supply part numbers or make and/or model #'s that will work for the above.:D

Unique can supply you with the cable & housing. It goes from the speedo into the trans tailhousing.

I will look in my file at home, bought mine from NAPA, cable and housing come together.
Post the P/N tonight. There are 2 length's I beleive, I got the 6' one as my speedometer input cable is on the right (passenger side) side of my toploader.

Got mine from Southern Automotive. Not very expensive, if memory serves (under $15???).

The NAPA part # is 615-1645 for the 64" able that I used, has all the stuff attached. The speedometer gear I used came from Dan Williams Toploader, you can find him on the web. He has all the Ford Charts and can get you the gear that you need for your car,needs rear-end ratio, tires used, ect.
