What would be the most accurate and effective place to mount the battery cut-off switch on the 289's?

Al I put mine in the trunk. I mounted it in the carpeted side panel with an aluminum backing plate. I didn't care about authenticity just wanted a way to deter rif-raf and shut the system down. Race cars have them located in view and within reach of the safety workers in the event you screw up on track.

Mine is located just behind the passenger's seat, near the floor next to the tunnel. It's an EXCELLENT location, as I can insert or remove the key without anyone noticing. It also keeps me from having the open the trunk if I plan to walk away from the car for a while and want to avoid theft. When the bright red key is removed, the black recepticle is not easily noticed against the black carpet.
