Hot as hell today, so I didn't get a whole lot done (not much I can do until the body returns anyway). Delivered the side pipes and headers to MicroCoat for the ceramic work yesterday. Should be ready for pick-up next Saturday. Little cutting and a little drilling to install the safety hoop. Also mounted the really nice surge tank I got from Bill at Southern Automotive.

Your right... that expansion tank is nice. Is it powder coated or chrome?

How are you going to mount the inner lap belts of your safety harness? I made bushings to shim my driveshaft loop upward so it touches the floor of the car. I do not know why they recess the mount tabs for the loop so low, but I bet there is a good reason. Mounting the inner belt is a problem in these cars.

The surge tank is polished stainless. I haven't considered where I'm going to mount the restraints yet.

Didn't know there were any polished stainless surge tanks around, I like it and there should be no leaks and it should hold more pressure than the old original tanks. What's the price tag on these and did you get it from Southern Automotive? Brent is correct on the inner seat belt mount. I used 1 1/2" square steel tube with 3/8" steel plate welded to the square tube spacer and let it come foward about 2 1/2" so the belt attachment would come forward and not mount so far behind the seat.
