I have all of the cardboard templets made and should start to transfer them to metal in the next few days. I think I am going to polish and seal the aluminum, any thoughts?

Brent,

On your aluminum, the area that is cut out around the shock tower. The Fiberglass cut out area is not necessarily centered on your upper shock support. You would have to check this with the body on the frame. You can center it up with your cut on the aluminum. Just something to check, mine was off around 1/4". Your cardboard looks good, just paint it silver!!!!!!!

I polished my panels with 'AutoSol' polish (in a tube)...I believe they now make a liquid polish also.
The panels came up great.
I did not apply any form of sealant.
The panels still clean up well after 11 years.

Eliminator, painting the cardboard would sure be easier. (-:

Mike, I really want it to be a polished finish but I was afraid of the maint. Sounds like yours has not been a problem so I think I will try it.

Could always run 'em on down and get 'em anodized (clear, of course [:P])

I have not. I saw it on TrucksTV and thought is was interesting. They did a demo that looked good.
