<img src=images/icon_speech_yeah.gif border=0 width=29 height=15 alt=Insert Speech Icon: Yeah!>, but look at it this way.

As much fun as a race car is, laying on your back on cold concrete is the pits after about, oh, 35 yrs. old or so.

And face it - a race car ain't nuthin but work. Work, work, work. Been there, done that too.

However, put a hydraulic roller in your Cobra during the build and all you'll have to do from there on is change the oil, buy tires, drive the poop out of it, and see if the grin on your face isn't TWICE the size you got from the race car.

Pheasant hunting is second to almost nothing, but breaking clays gives you a whole lot more time pulling the trigger...and that's a whole lot more fun than plucking feathers.

Yeehah

Turnpike you hit the nail on the head. 20 hours of work for 5 seconds of fun. It is a second full time job. I drove the Cobra in raw fiberglass with no carpet last year and had a blast driving and talking to people. I can't wait to drive it when it's done.

Don't get me wrong going 0-60' in 1 second is a rush like no other, but, it's only 1 second. Just driving the Cobra to work and home gives me 1.5 hours behind the wheel. FUN FUN FUN

Plus when you sell a Cobra you probably won't lose near as much $$$$$

Brent,
Nice looking car, but your young and will recover. Even if you kept a toy it's rough. It's tough keeping a Cobra and a Harley in top condition, after you get one polished and clean you dont want to take it out and get it dirty again. One thing for sure a Fall ride on either one with the leaves turning is hard to beat.

Sorry! I did however make sure that the power to weight ratio of the new car was larger than that of the Cobra so I could have the same thrill.

Sold the Unique for a GT1 race car.

JerryBP, any pics of the Cobra project?
I remember the Pantera sitting in the background when you sent pics of your pallet kit.

No new pics, we have removed all the crome parts, trimed edges and aligned the doors, hood, trunk. are working on getting an old rotisery
ready then we will put the body on it. Will take more pics when we get the body off.
To many things to do this summer, looks like this will be a winter project.
