car sit on the body buck now and i put the door on driver side on for the bodyshop they don't line up as they should help has any one had this problem

The doors can't be fitted without the body bolted to the frame, the cowl brace has to be in its correct location for the doors to be aligned. You can fit the hood and trunk off the frame but not the doors.

Cobra replica build = body on..body off..body on..body off..body on..body off..body on. On the inside back cover of the assy. manual it states "Customer will need many friends and buy much beer in order to comlete this project" (-:

Actually, I only took the body off the chassis once (to let Bruce paint it). I then completed some extra stuff before placing the painted body it onto the chassis. Once it was on the chassis, I never needed to remove it again.

The wooden body buck isn't stiff enough, nor is it accurate enough, to support the body in such a way as to facilitate the installation of the doors. There will simply be too much flex in the body.

And do not EVER attempt to move the body (or even shift it a little bit) without four GROWN men.

Brent,

I think I will go with your schedule, think mine was on and off 4 times. I built my car before tearing it down again and sending it to the painter, that has it's advantages.
