It would be pretty easy to do in wood veneer. 20+ Years ago I did a friend's Spitfire dash in wood veneer. Word of caution; I ended up having to do it over because I trapped a couple of air bubbles in the contact cement between the dash and the veneer. When the weather would change, the air bubbles would show up. You might want to wait a week after gluing the veneer on before sealing it with a polyurethane varnish.
Personally I like the “traditional” look of the black vinyl dash on a Cobra.

Terry,
Your dash looks great! Please tell me about the glove box. I would like to add one to my car. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is the Finish Line glove box with a burrell walnut veneer. Just made an opening for the box in the Unique supplied dash. Incidentally the 6AL is in the right rear wheel well. Poorboys idea. Works fine there and stays cool.

Thanks Terry. The burrell walnut veneer really dresses things up! It look really nice with the tan interior.
I have purchased Finish Line's glove box but have not installed it. I was trying to figure some way around the black lip around the dash opening.
