Dmiller,
I don't think there is a better feeling than taking a filthy, worn out, grease covered engine out of retirement and making it ten times better than it ever was. That transformation is about as satisfying as it gets.

Looks great!!

427SC,
Love the 2-4's on the small block. You don't see that very often. Sweet!

I'm in the process of "dressing mine up abit. I'm wondering about your belt setup. Are you using a reverse water pump? If so how do your run your serpentine belt.

the alternator, pump, and drive is on one groove, all from March Performance.

is not a reverse drive pump.

Hello Everyone,

It is great to see Unique has its own forum. I didn't realize that until yesterday.

This is my 452 hp small block. It is not as radical as some but still moves my 2,340 lb Unique really well.

Rick,

Instead of using the "Quick Reply" box at the end of the last post, click on "Reply to Topic" on the blue bar at the end of the last post. In that box is a button that says "Add Attachment" You then just browse through your hard disk for the picture you want to post.

BUT (and this is the part that throws a lot of people) this site will only accept a certain size picture (about the equivalent of a 3 x 5" shot (sorry, I don't remember the computerese file size limitation).

Thanks Clay!

Here is mine (car turns 20 end of next year, well at least from the manufacture date on the body!)

Engine is getting a make over as soon as I get around to it. Going for the more OEM look and feel. Some thing like Clay and Phil. I have the turkey pan and tank, going to hard lines, remove paint from valve covers and bead blast, this and that.

Saw your car on CC and invited you to join here. The color's great, and we non-stripe guys need to stick together. Glad you made it!!!!

Hey big bro,

Stripes would be very easy to add to that bad boy. I'll bring a roll of masking tape down to Gadsden, AL. We can knock em out in no time!

Hey little bro,

Don't even think about bringing a roll of masking tape anywhere near my car...if you do, I'd hate to think of what might happen to your new baby.

P.S. I'll bring the sandpaper to Gadsden. We can have your new car cleaned up in no time![}:)]

How about the rest of us get sandpaper and a roll of masking tape and each of you compromise [?]

We will sand one stripe off of one brother and paint one stripe on the other brother. Kind of like twins that dress alike :D :D

It is starting to sound like I need to bring an armed guard to stand over the car while in Gadsden. In the immortal words of Rodney King....why can't we all just get along. [^][^]

Brent, I'll let you make the decision about the stripes, since we're trading cars in Gadsden anyway....you need something to keep you occupied for the next 2 yrs:)

Brent...it's so true, these things become a part of you, and the thought of parting with your own car is like too painful to contemplate. Maybe I'll feel differently down the road a ways, but I hope not.

Hey buddy...I was just willing to make a big sacrifice in trying to help you out and keep you off the streets (so you don't see it getting dirty), or worse yet, chopping through your hood and installing a big blower on that thing. [8D]

Your file needs to be smaller than 100kb. When posting go to " reply to topic " instead of quick reply and on the bottom it will say " add attachment" It will open a window and then you "browse" for your photo.

Here are the engine pictures, Brian you can look at Butch Capps 289 Comp engine. This will work very nice without the PCV valve, plenty of breather and it cross ventilates[^]. The 4 breathers looks real cool[8D].

Rick - is Butch Capps side mirror mounted on the dash? It looks like its inside the side visor.

Unique 289 FIA - saw your xtreme K&N filter on top of what looks like a 2" K&N. I put one on mine and couldn't get enough air between top of carb and the bottom of top filter. Result was car totally choked up at 4800 rpm. Have you any problems?
