This one was lost in the Server Change.
Buzz was going to make a logo with both cars (289) and (427) and the 427 S/C was going to be RED with White stripes:D:D, right Buzz;).

Great design, but I hate the colors. Should be silver on silver & no stripes to mess up those beautiful curves. It's kinda like a tattoo on a beautiful woman.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the 1965 team colors were Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon white stripes and that's my two cents worth...

Don't let the SA and Kirkham owners see that.

They will cry:( and say we are trying to lead people to believe we have an aluminum car.[V]

I love going to the "other forum" and throwing a wrench or two in the fan and then sit back and watch. I know its sick...But thats the way I like it:D

Buzz,

The Silver is definetly out[V], and the two Blue cars, well too much Blue[V]. There are probably more 289 FIA blue cars around and Red 427 S/C cars. Plus it's a good contrast for a T-Shirt. The only thing I see that would need to be changed is between the 427 SC 289 FIA script insert a hyphen or slash. 427 SC - 289 FIA, 427 SC / 289 FIA. So it dosn't run together. Other than that I think it's great, Alan and Maurice can approve of the colors. Buzz the detail on the 427 S/C front end is excellent[^]. By the way Alan has a Red 427 S/C and Maurice's 289 FIA is Blue, so guess what guy's:D:D.

Buzz

For purely aesthetic reasons, I agree that one red car and one blue car looks best - but I'm only the artist. You guys have to wear the shirts around other Cobra owners so I'll go with whatever Eliminator sez ... oops! I mean whatever the group decides. :D

My car - Unique 7015. Soon to be spectra blue with white stripes and red/white team stripes. Current color not suitable for t-shirt. For starting out not much better than the "Spence car", in the hands of a complete amateur (me) she's coming along nicely. She's already appeared appeared in a couple of ads, a Shell calendar and is soon to be treated to a top notch paint job courtesy of a local Sikkens Paint dealer in exchange for some promo work. The car's doing nicely too. :D

Buzz,

I think a lot of people would be interested in T-shirts with various color schemes. Would it be too costly to print different color logos? All joking aside, I think the silver one looks very cool and uncluttered for my tastes, and I'd also like to print up decals, etc. I certainly would be willing to cover your costs for that.

Clay, in all seriousness, creating this type of detailed artwork from scratch is quite time consuming (ie: expensive) for me. Doing it for this foum, ClubCobra, DVSF, etc is my way of contributing in return for their efforts at maintaining the sites. You don't see the little "contributor" icons next to my name but I feel in my own way I do my part. I'll usually pitch in when it's intended for the sale of the T-shirt, decal, etc to raise a few dollars for the cause or the site. Once a design is done, like ours here for example, minor color changes and modifications are not that difficult - relatively speaking , so it has little added impact on me whether I forward one or three different colour versions of the same design. Things involving detail changes like bumpers, different roll bars, accusumps, blowers ;) , and the like are more time consuming however. BTW, I love Cobras and enjoy this work alot so that's also a factor. Whatever you guys decide about the colors is cool with me.:)

I have talked to Alan on the T-Shirts, if he and Maurice approve the design then as far as the cost there are set up fees and thats it, plus the cost of the T-Shirts. I have agreed to run with the ball and get this going in Louisville if they want me to. If there is not a big price varation if you change colors then I am sure we could have at least two options in colors. The problem is getting a run of T-shirts then selling them. I for one and I am sure Unique feels the same way, don't want to stock several colors and sizes and then have them sit around, I think everyone can appreciate that. And then we would have see what Buzz would charge us for the Artwork on both color schemes. At least we have the ball rolling on this project. Thank's Buzz.

Clay,

The Austin event will be at the Round Rock Marriot, Feb. 27th thru 29th. There will be parking lot tailgating every evening, group pictures Saturday morning, a cruise with a lunch stop and then more cruising back to hotel in afternoon. More tailgating and going out to eat and back to parking lot for, you guessed it, more tailgating. And almost forgot the most important thing, lot of adult beverages:D

Go to ClubCobra, to local clubs, under Texas TCC and you will find all of the info you need. I haven't been to one yet but it sounds like a great event. Lots of cobras ( about 90 cobras last year)and the people that live them!

I will be there even if my car isn't finished (I'll load it up on a trailer just to show it off) but the Weavers and my painter, Bruce Bunn from Atlanta are working their butts off to get the car ready for me to pick up by Jan. 9th.

I think that they might be getting tired of my daily calls with more questions:D

Buzz,

Can you refine the T-Shirt Logo a little more? Talked to Maurice and it can't have any of the badges on the car (even though you cant read them) like the round Cobra Badge or the Powered by Ford, 427 Cobra, ect. Also we can't use the S/C , SC, or FIA. So all we can say is 427 and 289. I am going to see Maurice this week-end so maybe we can finalize the T-Shirt logo. Thanks.
