With regards to Unique only.....

What is the usual percentage of 289 cars built against the 427's over the long haul... ??

5 to 1, 6 to 1 ??????

AL,

I think your way off, only Alan can answer correctly. I want to say it's about 60/40, FIA's over 427 S/C's. How about it Alan??

Just the other way around, about 60 per cent 427's. When we first came out with the FIA we couldn't build them fast enough but its been about 12 years now and the 427's have taken over again.

Well that sums it up 427 SC on Top of the T-Shirt and RED. Blue FIA on the bottom. Big Blocks rule, now to find my Foxhole, Incoming!!

I guess I was WAY off...

Let's do it another way....
What do you think the industry wide ratio is??? I know the companys that offer the FIA's is limited... ERA, Unique, Kirkham, etc.

Of all the Cobra replicas built over the years... what do you think the ratio is of 427's to 289's.????

Al those of us with the FIA cars march to a drummer most people can't hear. We are in the know so to speak. Having a BB car is like having a girlfriend with big hips - she looks good until you get up close :) Which car won the races - SB FIA [8D] Nuff said.

Well this topic took a turn for the worse. It doesn't matter as long as it is a well built car.

Nationwide the 427 S/C body outsells the 289 FIA cars. Now there are several reasons, one there are not that many 289 FIA cars available, the other is a power deal, everyone that has a 427 S/C advertises it as a 427 CU IN engine, emblems, ect. You know small liteweigh car, big a%% engine. But both cars are nice, I know of several in each class that are beautifully done, and I enjoy looking at each model. If I built another Cobra it would be a 289 FIA car to the spec's of the original FIA Comp Cars.
