i put the JEGS starter on today, early impression is that it will do the job.

previous starter would turn it over enough to start when cold, but not when hot.

now only one mechanical problem (clutch) to solve, then interior.

I thought you would like the Mini-High Torque starter, your right no starter problems to worry about now.

Doug, I used that one on a 69 Camaro SS350 convert. I restored to showroom stock. I heat-soak, destroyed 2 std. GM starters due to their proximity to the headers before I switched. That Jegs unit was still going strong when I sold the car, and had lasted 4 times longer than the preceding 2 GM units.

The starter on my Unique has exactly the same sound and looks like the same unit, but I haven't had it off because it's been trouble-free.
