Your going to need some good weather. It will take awhile to tune that baby, #1 get it hot,
adjust valves. #2 adjust timing. #3 Adjust Webbers, Sync carbs. Set up looks really good.

I hope it runs as good as it looks. I must admit after I bolted everything together Tuesday night I sat and looked at it for an hour.

The bowls are full of fuel,fuel pressure set,made new linkage, and it snowed.

Patience.....I don't have it.

I could wait no longer for mother nature to bless me with a nice day so I fired up the new toy on Friday night. Almost instantly my garage was full of black smoke and the engine would hardly stay running. I had two dead holes on the driver side and two dead holes on the passenger side. To make a long story short the company I purchased the Webers from had forgotten to finish the assy. on two of the carbs. The idle jet retainers and the emulsion tubes were never screwed in place. If you can imagine a Holley carb with 3/8" jets [:O]Saturday I made a phone call to the gentleman that built them and we discussed it:(. He handled it very well[8D]
I tightened the retainer screws and then checked the other carbs as well. I replaced the 4 soaked plugs and started the engine (nervously) This time she lit right up and idled like a champ. I let it hit the thermostadt at 180 degrees and began to sync the carbs. They were amazingly close to start with and within 5 minutes I was done. I then set the idle mixture and speed screws.
The motor will idle at 500 rpm all day long and the throttle response is scary:D Ready for a road test:D

This is a beautiful setup. I'd love to hear if it is a problem keeping the carbs in sync. Have you had it on the road yet? It looks supersonic.

It hit 46 degrees yesterday and I was gone for a drive. I still have a slight hesitation just off of idle so they are sending me a set of idle jets today. After the hesitation it is AWESOME. I am making a new throttle arm to slow the linkage down and make it less sensitive. It either idles or blows the tires off.

Brent, The Jags use a snail shell shaped cam in the carb linkage to slow down the pedle travel to the carbs for the first half of their movement.

Clay, I made a set of rubber rings out of a dust boot for a rack an pinion ,then I went to Lowes and bought a piece of bright aluminum screen. The road debris situation is solved. $3.00:D:D
