Bear with me on this.....

Trying to quiet this 289 351 W down just enough to appease some neighbors...
Looking at the new AFCO Racing Products catalog p. 135 at Vortex Insert Cones that install at either the exit of the header collector or muffler outlet.... Was possibly looking to install in the flange between the two but not sure if I have enough straight pipe on either side of the flange.... Anyone have any experience with this item....
Looks like it just might do the trick... but would love some input.

Casa.....Wouldn't it be better to just move[}:)]

Sorry, couldn't resist, I don't have any experience to offer, but hopefully someone here can help. Did you try the same question on CC?

AL,
AFCO racing products is located 10 minutes from my house. When you call them ask for Eric Saffle he is a good friend of mine. I ran their cone inserts on a NHRA S/C car and I was very happy with them. They muffled the car enough that I could hear the valvetrain clearly with the motor running. I installed them in the collector about 6" after the tubes merged together. Yhe funny thing is they had no effect on performance at all. The car ran the exact same E.T. with or without them.
