My regrets - 2,000 miles is out of my driving range, and as much as I would like to be there, I have a shareholders meeting I must attend Friday evening or I would be on a bird to Gadsden, or a snake, or an Oreo cookie if it were at all possible :(:([8]:(:( I sure would like to meet all of you.

We started this up at Brent's request (great idea) so we would have one listing of everyone coming. If you don't mind send me an email with all the information to rbagley@papesinc.com and I will add you to the list. Makes it easier to print and post.
Thanks,

What weekend is this (May I believe)? For a spectator, is a entry form needed? My understanding from my engine builder is all Fords may be welcome?

ToyCollector,
We will gather at Unique's shop Friday the 14th. to kick tires and tour the shop. Spectators welcome. Friday evening their will be a catered dinner(regestered persons only). Saturday the cobras will go on a cruse thru the country side and stop for lunch.

This is my first post on this site. I am bringing my finance manager/wife to the open house on Friday of homecoming. We are coming as future(hopefully) buyers/spectators. I am not sure if she will catch the fever or completely hate a Cobra. You know all the things that make them the legend they are(ie too fast, too loud, etc.). Hopefully, she will catch the fever and the road placing my order will be easier and much shorter. I have been lurking on this site and CC for the last couple of months. I am trying to get as educated as possible on Cobras. However, all you guys are killing me with your talk about driving them. Especially all the talk from the Atlanta Club Cobra group. I am in Marietta, Ga. I cannot stand it. I must have one soon!!!!

I am coming to the open house to try and settle several questions for my self. I have already determined that I cannot go wrong with a Unique 427 SC with a SA engine and paint by Bruce. However, I want to look at paint schemes, colors, 15" or 17" wheels, BB or SB. I also want to take a look at the Serpent Express trailers. Tony you are still planning on having one there on Friday I hope? Any one interested in giving me and my wife a ride around the block on Friday?

Sorry for the long post. See you all in May.

Anyone interested in coming to our Homecoming is welcome, if you want to eat dinner on Friday night or purchase T-shirts you will need to fill out an entry form. Call us and we will be glad to fax you a form. Toy Collector, all Fords are welcome but only Unique Cobras.

Rewald,

You want to pick your driver and car carefully. Your wife may not get the ride that helps sell her the car.:( We all want to see you get a Unique. Butch Capps wife Tammy will be there with her car and she LOVES COBRAS. You need to have your wife talk to her.

Brent

ps. Her husband sells and builds Uniques. If you had an oppertunity to see the DIY show " How to build a kit car" that was Butch Capps.

rawald
April 9th, 2004, 12:41 AM
Brent,

I know what you mean about picking the right ride. My wife is definitely interested in having a hot rod in the family. I am just not sure she will like one as HOT as a Cobra. She use to complain about my F-150 with dual exhaust being to loud and rough. I may be in for a tough sell with her. I will just have to take my chances. I might have to get her a Miata or a(God forbid) Corvette to make her happy before I get a Cobra.

Hopefully, she will catch the fever. Sometimes, she still suprises me.

I went by Unique this morning and talked to Alan and Maurice. Sounds like Friday and Saturday are going to be a great time. Friday is open house and we can all meet each other and check out each others handywork. Then we'll drive somewhere about 4 miles away and eat dinner. Saturday is a cruise up through the mountains and we'll make a couple stops and eat. Just hope it doesn't rain.

Well the way I have it figured it's the 4 week count down. Time to take the engine out and polish all my aluminum and get ready for Gadsden. Hard to beleive when it's 38 this AM and rain and sleet in the Louisville area. Good news is near 80 for the week-end.

Watching the forums for the last couple of years, it seems that there has been a lot of Uniques sold in the south during that time. Maybe that is affecting the turnout.

The open house starts at 8am and the front will be full by then, we won't be here before 7:30 so if you get here before us park your car straight and tight so we won't have to move them later. If you unhook from your trailer your wife can drive over in the tow vehicle.
