Interesting, but who knows? Experts are like opinions... if you get my drift. Probably some day. When it gets closer I'll have to begin to stockpile so I can keep my Unique on the road :D

The reason were calm is this effects our Cobra Driving, fuel and oil[V]. We all know that the oil can't last forever but there's not a thing we can do about it. A Solar powered Cobra just dosn't turn my crank. I just hope it all happens after Iam gone. You Gun guys are radicals anyway,:D (spoken by a NRA Lifetime Member).

Rick, don't give that "radical crap"

I am a long time NRA and now IBS lifer.

I think I'll build a larger still and use the extra corn juice for car fuel.

We are the largest user of petroleum products in the world. The people that we buy oil from get there food from us. I can go an extra month before I change oil, lets see if they can make it a month with no food.

Jerry,

Your gonna have to explain that IBS stuff to the non-bench rest shooters. You should be a NRA Lifer too.
Brent.....I think the term is "High Tech Redneck".

I think the issue is not the amount of crude oil that's still in the ground or the production capacity to turn that crude into usable petroleum products such as gasoline and motor oil. This is all about controlling the market and milking the consumers to the greatest extent possible. The Seven Sisters can whine all they want to about the price of crude oil and it's availability. Exxon Mobile posted a profit of over $8,000,000,000 (that's as in Billions) last year and that tells me that it's not about a shortage of crude oil, it's about the ability of the oil companies to control the market and maximize their profit. We are where we are because the Seven Sisters want us here and our government isn't about to do anything about it. Why, just last year the Feds did yet another investigation and determined once again that there's no collusion or price fixing among the oil companies. I guess that's why when the Exxon Valdez ran aground in Alaska, the price of Mobile gas jumped 15 cents the very next day. Shortage, $hit...

Rick, I became a NRA lifer in the 60's,

The IBS (for our non-shooters) is International Benchrest Shooters.

Son Greg and I compete in 1000yd matches. Our best group so far is 6.008in.

Ben, Back in the 70's when we had that "gas shortage" I was hauling fuel and we gad toruble finding enough empty tanks to put the fuel in because the stations were only allowed to sell it at restricted hours.

Boy we are having a heat wave it is up to 75 outside, no sun but a lot of hot air being blown north by a 15-20 mph wind.

Will have to get old noisy (the Pantera) out when I get of work and go for a spin.
They say it will be back in the 30's by sunday.
