Hello everyone,
Just like to bring you up to date on our build. The past month has been slow progress on the car. Unsure of how things needed to be done and how to proceed correctly.Anyway this weekend i was able to drive the car for the first time, minsus seats and carpet. Just up and down our street a few times I just couldn't wait any longer.I've been so excited, so pumped up i feel like a eighteen year old kid again and better yet my boys are right their with me.Anyway, i'm sure alan and maurice are tired of hearing from me, but they always take time to answer my questions,no matter how trivial or unknowledgable i am.OK lets see if i can load a few pictures for you.

Glenn,

I know what you mean about the first drive and feeling 18 again. The first time I drove mine it didn't have a carpet kit, doors, hood, trunk lid, etc.

Your car looks great. You'll get there .. just be patient. The Weaver's are always there to point you in the right direction, no matter what the question (one of the main reason I went w/a Unique).

It's spring time so get it finished and get on the road.

Glen...that Cobra is looking real good.
I love those wheels.
What brand are they.?.... they appear to have the correct backspace.
They look like 8 inch front and 10 inch rear.

Beautiful!!

Your dash really stands out and the fit and finish looks great. I wish I had gone with the Smiths gauges like you did. I also like the Lucas switches you replaced teh "kit" gauges with. I just ordered mine.

Will you be at homecoming?

Thanks for the coments fellows,
Mike,
The wheels are from weld racing.Their an aluminum version of the chrome plated steel wheels of the 60's CRAGER SS wheels. 8inch front and 10 in
ch rear, had to use spacer on rear wheels for proper backspace.
Brent,
The gauges were an option from unique and they were the Autometer set.Plan on being at homecoming, have reservations at River country campground. Can't wait to see the cars, and meet the fellows who built them.
Bittentwo,
I made the dash myself, and posted details on an early post. The switches came from unique not sure what brand, came with the gauge set.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE, GLENN

The Autometer guages are nice, that wasn't an option when I got my car. If they work good that would be the way to go. It would be a pain in the rear to change now and no problems out of the SW guages so far. I have seen several new cars with the Autometer guages and they are in my opinion better looking than the Smith or SW guages. Look forward to seeing you in Gadsden, good looking car.
