I was looking at Silk and Unique 289 Fia photos and was wondering if your side mirrors are inside the wind wings or on the outside of them? If you all will be at Homecoming I can look closer. I haven't mounted mine yet cause it's so pretty I hate to drill any holes in it.

i installed mine, and the passenger side one is completely useless, the drivers side almost same. if had to do overagain, would not install,

if/when body needs repainting, will remove and fill holes.

spd4me,

Here's a side view. When I first drove the car, I thought the mirrors were largely useless. In time, I found that they worked just fine. Not like my daily driver, mind you, but no problem.

I'm not up on the "correctness" of the 289, but I opted not to use the fender mount mirrors on my 427 because I heard (read) they were useless. I used the Ray Dot mirror and bracket from Finishline http://www.cobraaccessories.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=42&osCsid=631c39e0010b348fb9d98ceb479e4d09 that mounts to the windshield frame. It provides satisfactory rear view capability.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll just keep using my gas pedal. If no one is next to me, I just give it the gas and change lanes. If anyone's there, the noise will scare them. I have thougt about getting one of those little fish eye mirrors (you stick on your side mirror) and putting it in the upper corner of the windshield.
