Ben (Copper01) started a thread on "Cleaning Pipes." It's metal polish better than any I've ever seen. When I had my sidepipes ceramic coated again, the coaters told me about this product that is not available in stores and apparently only widely known among hard-core metal polishers. I had to order a case of it (36 bottles) from the manufacturer to get more and offered it to people here. I have about 10 bottles left if you're interested. Cost is my cost ($5/bottle plus shipping unless you want to pick it up at Homecoming.)

BTW, I have the whole Zaino system and it's great stuff, but for polishing and protecting paint.

It went out today, and I sent you all either private msgs. here or e-mails if I had your addresses. I also sent you UPS tracking numbers, but they may not work until late tonight or tomorrow, once UPS scans them into the system.

Now on this polish, the directions are sparse. I was given a hand's on demonstration by my ceramic coaters. You use a little and rub like hell until it turns black, then rub some more. Best to use latex throwaway gloves....it's messy as the tarnish comes off. The more you polish, the better it gets, but even a little will produce dramatic effects. It's amazing on aluminum.

I really like cleaning my car, but I don't get into polishing every nut and bolt and metal surface on it. I hope my car doesn't look like crap up against all you guys. I have rust on most of my suspension bolts.. THE SHAME OHHH THE SHAME.[:O]

I crawled under my car breifly last night to decipher a clutch riddle and wound up spending my time spraying Simple Green all over the underside of the engine/tranny/frame and using more than a few paper towels (and barely made a dent). I should not have waited 1.5 years to remove the grime. Ugh...

I know, my car was built in 98, and it just got done for the first time this past winter once I had it on a lift. It's not that I'm a maniac either, but just feel it should be done about once every half decade, or so, whether it needs it or not. The polish we're talking about here also removed a good chunk of 6 years of aluminum tarnish. It now looks like aluminum instead of flat grey-painted metal. Plus, with our winters, can't drive very often, might as well clean a little, so you can stay bonded.
