I have a (practically) brand new engine stand, purchased from the local Advance Auto Parts store. Originally, I purchased the stand with intentions of building my own engine. I later decided to have Bill do it, so the engine stand has been gathering dust (and taking up garage space) ever since. I think it was about $80 new, give or take. I forget the weight rating, but it's a lot more than your Cobra engine is gonna weigh.

I will post pictures and more details (weight rating, etc.) on here tomorrow. Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up.

If anyone is interested, just email me an offer and I'll throw it in the truck when I head to homecoming. I don't have the original box. It is a four-leg unit (more stable). Like I said, details will follow.

EDIT - The casters are steel, not plastic. The yoke rotates to allow rotation of the block.

Keith, did you get your clutch problem worked out?

I think so. I bled the master/slave setup but that didn't seem to do the trick. So I extended the slave's pushrod by only 1/8" per Toy Collector's recommendation (he has an identical master/slave setup and recently had the same problem). My initial test drive around town indicated no problems, but it was a short trip. I'll get more seat time to find out for sure. Before the adjustment, I had a grinding noise when trying to enter reverse from a stop. That has now been alleviated. A local kid with a yellow drop-top Mustang can attest that my clutch doesn't slip under power. :D

I have so many things to do before Homecoming...

Keith,

That's a nice looking stand, but I have to tell you, that would make me nervous as all get-out to have a chunk of iron that that size so close to my Cobra [8D]
