The wife is home for a couple of days, so we decided to take off this morning and head up to Amador County (gold rush and wine country). There is a place called Daffodil out of Volcano... the daffodils were gone, but the peacocks were still there.

This guy tried is darndest to attract some attention, but the cobra won out :D

140 mi - no rock chips and no mechanical probelms [^]

you're lucky the peacock didn't try to pick a fight with himself...
Would have made a few rock chips look like a walk in the park...

ps
That's one great looking car...

It's interesting, 'cause I was concerned the bird was going to do some pecking also. They were just intersted in looking at themselves is the reflection on the paint, rims, side pipes, whatever. And, thanks for the complements on the car.

It also attract something else that I brought home with me......:D[^]:D

Clay,

Cool? Nah.... Lucky..... you bet [^]

No, I haven't gotten to the second car stage yet, I just don't have the room. If I did have space I might have done something by now. Can you believe she doesn't know how to drive a stick[xx(] I guess that's good and bad :D

hey clay-
let's not get too carried away with the compliments, his head tends to swell. though i do agree that she is a beauty, the fam tries to moniter how many "kudos" we give him ;) however, as he is ever so proud of his new girl, i see he has now found a new forum to brag. too bad he let the cat out of the bag. now i can keep him "in check" from my computer as well. after all, we do have to live with the guy

warmly,

Phil,
My wife liked the Peacock picture with the Cobra, it does look Cool, I think they photo great with the Blue Car;). She also is a rider, can't drive a stick shift. Too bad your so far away that you can't make Homecoming:(.

Rick,

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed I won't be able to attend Homecoming. However, I am confident there will be plenty of great pics posted following your get together. I'm guessing Clay is going to setup a kiosk to pedal that wonderful Southern Shine he has us all hooked on, with Brent demo'ing the product in the booth next to him? :D;):D

Phil, I can't afford a kiosk because with my time factored in, it was a money losing proposition. You guys got it for cost plus shipping. When we run out, it's someone else's turn!

Clay,

I was kidding, of course. Just trying to get a reaction from Brent :D:D:D I don't doubt that you took a bit of a beating through your generous efforts. I don't mind taking a turn next time around.
